John William Westendorf's Obituary
John William Westendorf, 58, of Clarklake, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 13, 2021. John’s family and friends will gather Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with a private family funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Deacon Chris Vida will serve as celebrant of St. Rita Catholic Church. Covid-19 mandates will be observed, face mask and social distancing will be required.
He was born on April 27, 1962, in Lapeer, Michigan to John and Ardith (Ferrier) Westendorf. John married, Kimberly Karjewski, on July 15, 2017, in Rogers City, Michigan. He will be remembered for his loving and caring personality. John loved sharing his knowledge with his children. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting with a traditional bow. John and Kim enjoyed participating in the reenactment of the 1820’s, early pioneers. He was very proud of his Native American Heritage. John was employed at Pentar Stamping, Inc for over 20 years as a Quality Engineer. He was also a member of the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
John is survived by his wife Kimberly; his children, John (Jenny) Westendorf, Jr., Roger Phillips III, Matthew Phillips and Gabryelle Belk; and his father John Westendorf. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ardith.
