John ""Harley"" Yttri's Obituary
Age 73, of Clarklake, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was born, September 14, 1942 in Edberg, Alberta, Canada to Harold and Violet (Anderson) Yttri and they preceded him in death. Harley is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carole A. (Gallaway, Bader); five step-children, Douglas (Valerie Hunt) Bader, Becky (Ron) Butcher, Brenda Koveleski, Kerri Collins and Marcia (Mike) Hittle; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; all of Michigan; sister-in-law, Norma I. Lee of Louisville, KY; sister, Geraldine Murphy; niece, Debbie Nielsen and several cousins, all of Canada and a host of good friends. Harley worked all of his life in the Oil and Petroleum Industry, from oil fields in the Middle East to most recently with the R.W. Mercer Company. He was a member of the Clarklake Lions Club and the Clarklake Keenagers. He was an avid NASCAR fan, but his favorite times were spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a luncheon open house to celebrate his life will be held at the Clarklake Community Church, 9224 Hyde Road, Clarklake, MI 49234 from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2016 with a casual memorial service at 2 pm.
