Joyce L. Brower's Obituary
Age 79, a longtime resident of Ackerson Lake, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Medilodge of Capital Area in Lansing. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Tom in 2015; sister, Louise Sawdy; brothers, Carl and Asa Weaver. She is survived by two daughters, Kaye (Mike) Hendricks of Holland, OH and Sandra (Kevin) Hamlin of Jackson; six grandchildren, Ashley (Todd), Allison, Hannah, Matthew, Meghan and Travis; great-granddaughters, Addison, Tori and Payton; siblings, Lowell Weaver, Wilma (Ken) Guernsey and Tom Weaver; in-laws, Debra Weaver, Setsuko Weaver, Elizabeth (Fred) Ghent, David (Sandy) Brower and Anita (Duane) Lantis; nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Joyce loved camping, Disney, baking, Sunday family dinners and hosting the holidays, especially Christmas. Her family was the pride and joy of her life. Joyce attended Brooklyn High School and worked for nearly 25 years in the office of Thomas Pink, DDS. She also worked more recently at Menards. Cremation has taken place and a light luncheon casual gathering to celebrate and share memories of Joyce's life with her family will be held on Friday, September, 29, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Napoleon Lions Clubhouse, 7935 Napoleon Road, Jackson (Napoleon), MI 49201. In lieu of flowers, Joyce's family would appreciate remembrances be made to either McLaren Hospice Foundation, 1515 Cal Drive, Davison, MI 48423 or The Alzheimer's Association, 2111 University Park Drive, Suite 200, Okemos, MI 48864.
