Joyce Clara Champion's Obituary
Age 82, of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She was born, in Jackson on March 12, 1934 to Wilson and Josephine (Wrozek) Humes and they preceded her in death. Joyce is survived by her husband, Gordon Champion; two daughters, Christine A. (Patrick) Knight and Pamela J. Burke (Dariann); step-children, Rick Champion and Shelley Champion (Art); sister, Carol Ann (Daniel) Maynard; grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Barton and Nicole (Kenneth) Knight; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Spencer Barton; nephew, Greg (Lani) Krauz; niece, Camela Wright; many great-nieces and great-nephews. Joyce will be missed by her family and friends; she was loved and appreciated by so many and we will all miss her contagious laugh. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved her flowers, especially her red roses. Cremation has taken place with a family gathering to celebrate her life at a later date. For those who wish, contributions in memory of Joyce should be directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
