Joyce was born on December 22, 1933, in Copemish, MI, to Clifford and Ellen (Morris) Richardson. She graduated from Michigan Center High School in 1953. Joyce married the love of her life, J. Dean Clark, on March 11, 1953, in Jackson, MI, at the Michigan Center Bible Church Parsonage. He sadly preceded her to heaven in 2010 after 57 wonderful years together. Joyce was a loving wife and mother first, then as her children entered school, she worked at Woody’s/Kelly’s Variety Stores. She then got a job at Montgomery Ward, where she retired. Joyce chose Jesus as her savior in the mid 1950’s and served him faithfully the rest of her life. She was a charter member of the Coventry Park Missionary Church (New Hope Missionary Church), then the Vandercook Missionary Church and ending at the Caring Community Church in Albion, MI. In the past, Joyce was active with the child study club and the children’s bible club ministry. She enjoyed cooking, crafting and quilting. Joyce’s family would like to give a special thanks to the Henry Ford Hospice, both in home care and Hospice Home, for their excellent care.
Joyce will be missed by her children, Phyllis (Rev. Tom) Burgett and Sherri Clark-Walters; her sister-in-law, Charlotte Clark; her grandchildren, Andrew (Ali) Burgett, Ashley (Jason) Haddad, Jordan (Hilary) Walters, Stephen Walters, Paul Walters and Aidan Walters; her 4 great grandchildren; and her special close friends, Dave and Cindy Curtis and John and Tina Hufnagel.
