Joyce F. Parks' Obituary
Joyce Fay Parks age 89 of Brooklyn, MI passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh, MI with family at her side. Joyce’s family and friends will gather from 2:00PM until 3:00PM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at St. Joseph Shrine Catholic Church located at 8743 US-12, Brooklyn, MI. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00PM following the gathering with Father Bob Pienta serving as Celebrant.
Joyce was born on May 13, 1934, in Taylor, MI. She married Paul Parks, on August 17, 1953 at St. Alfred Catholic Church in Taylor, MI. She loved to garden and tulips were her favorite. Joyce was an excellent cook, avid bowler (in her day), and loved to golf with her husband and friends at Hills Golf Course in Brooklyn. She enjoyed traveling and going up north to the family cabin. She loved spending time at home on Wamplers Lake where many family gatherings were held. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother!
Joyce will be missed by her children, Michael Parks of Detroit; Ravonda (Tom) Burke of Gainesville, FL; Gregory Parks of Brooklyn; Douglas Parks of Jackson; Sharon (Karl) Arvidson of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Michael Phillips; Jason (Christina) Parks; Holly (Jamie) Blaine; Sarah Parks; Rheanna Ross; Thomas (Denise) Burke; Alex Parks; great grandchildren, Ella, Taurin, Ben, Milana, Natalie, Raymond and Colson. She is preceded in death by her mother Lucielle Wood; brother, Gene Lucier; Husband Paul Parks.
