Juanita Marie Shuberg's Obituary
Age 88, of Jackson, passed away at her home on October 15, 2019 under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 61 years, Walter D. Shuberg, Sr.; her parents, Virgil and Florence Taylor; sisters, Jean Harbottle, Barbara Futrell, Priscilla Moorehead and brother, Richard Taylor, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Elaine (Paul) Kalbarczyk, Eileen (Tracy) Bolenbaugh, Marjorie Hochstetler, Walter (Jean) Shuberg, Jr. and Martha Shuberg; grandchildren, Jeffery (Erin) Knapp, Kristy (Warner) Soper, Gregory (Mindy) Knapp, Joseph Kalbarczyk, Brian (Nicole) Knapp, Justin Shuberg and Walter Shuberg III; great-grandchildren, Kilian, Luke, Molly and Maggie Soper, Elizabeth Stahl, Rylee, Camden, Bella, Easton, Bryson and Ashton Knapp and Braylynn Shuberg; great-great grandchild, Stella McGary; brother, Jerry (Jan) Taylor; special caregivers, Lori Alexander, Danielle Jones and Barb Keith.
Juanita with her husband owned and operated Walt's Health Foods and Specialty Shop and Natural Health Foods in Jackson. She was a Rural Letter Carrier in Jackson and Brooklyn for over 26 years before her retirement.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ (801 S. Mechanic St., Jackson, Michigan 49201) where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Dan Kidder-McQuown officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Arthur Day Funeral Home (820 5th St., Michigan Center) on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 5-8 pm.
