Justin Allen Houtz's Obituary
Age 34, of Jackson, passed away September 29, 2017 at Michigan Medical in Ann Arbor from injuries sustained in his heroic attempt to rescue his mother, the late Angie Houtz, in a fire that engulfed her home. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Kacie Michelle (Wing) Houtz, son, Wyatt Adney, his father, Bryon G. Houtz, two brothers, Derreck (Tina) Houtz and Alexander (Taylor) Houtz, mother and father-in law, Melissa and Cleadys Risner and two special aunts, Audrey Halliwell and Melanie (Harry) Herriman. He was a jack of all trades, enjoyed drawing and was a gifted tattoo artist. He was an avid biker and was currently President of the Prison City Riders. Always willing to help out any of his host of friends, he had a heart of gold. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 from 5 to 11 pm at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 125 W. Lockwood Street, Michigan Center, MI 49254. A formal service with Pastor Larry Smock officiating will take place at 5:30 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to his wife to help defray final expenses.
