Karen Sue Phillips' Obituary
Age 56, of Jackson, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 under the loving care of her family and the staff of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. Karen is survived by her beloved family, her husband, Jay Phillips; three children, Gabrielle (Anthony) Kreischer, Dana Wright and Jacob Wright; three grandchildren, Kasey, Alyvia and Rowyn Kreischer; step-daughter, Shanna (Mike) Marquardt; brother, Timothy Wellman; half-siblings, Callie Wellman, Andy Wellman and Kenny Wellman; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Kilpatrick Wells; father, Kenneth Wellman; sister, Mary Ann Snipes and brothers, Matthew and Michael Wellman. Karen had been a waitress at the Jackson Coney Island and worked as a home healthcare aide. She was a longtime friend of Bill W. Karen enjoyed gardening, bird watching, crafting, sewing, listening to music, traveling, especially going up north in the fall. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor her life will be at Gene Davis and Sons Banquet Center, 3575 Francis St., Jackson, MI 49203 on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Noon with Pastor Ned Bernstein officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the services. For those who wish, contributions in Karen's memory to her family for their needs and wishes would be appreciated.
