Karl Evan Drake's Obituary
Age 65, of Henrietta Township, passed away Wednesday March 10, 2021 of natural causes at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. He is survived by his children; Hope Clark, Tabatha (Robi) Eddie and Jeff Drake, grandchildren; Kirstin Stull and Ryan Stull, brother; Calvin W. Drake, 2 nieces; Kathryn (James) Blackburn and Kristen (Justin) Palmer, aunts; Ruth Drake, Barbara Rentfrow and Jean Marrion and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; Robert L. and Kathryn L. (Brenner) Drake. Karl was born in Jackson, Michigan on Wednesday, March 16, 1955. He graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in 1973 and then worked 32 years in the Maintenance Department at General Products. He loved his four wheelers, lift kits, big tires and all. He also loved to collect Science Fiction toys and memorabilia and also model helicopters. Services will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home Monday, March 15, 2021 at noon with Pastor Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Grass Lake, Michigan. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Sunday evening 6-8 pm and on Monday from 11 am until service time. Due to the current restrictions the visitation will be capped on a rotating basis at a maximum of 25, at noon Monday, the funeral service will be limited to the family and friends also with a 25 person limit. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County 2005 Copas Road, Owosso, MI 48867.
