Katherine Mae Gaylord's Obituary
Katherine “Katie” Mae Gaylord, 32 of Crescent City California, passed away May 12, 2025.
Katherine was born on July 16, 1992, in French Camp, California to William Gaylord and Elizabeth (Quiel) Behrle. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend. Katie was outgoing and adventurous. She loved the outdoors, especially camping, hunting, fishing and “wheelin’”. Katie enjoyed going to bible study and was a great cook, often experimenting with all kinds of recipes. She met everyone with her contagious smile, was generous in all ways, was witty and always willing to help anyone in need. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved to entertain and hang out with the kids.
Katie will be missed by her parents, mother, Elizabeth and bonus dad Brett Behrle, her father, William and bonus mom Teri Gaylord; siblings, Kristina (Davon) Cleaver, Kassondra, and Kyle; Grandparents, John Quiel, Mary Gaylord; many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family; special friends Zak Camp, Karissa and Macy and several more friends. She is preceded in death by her infant son, Zaiden Gaylord, her grandparents, Cherie Quiel, Roger Gaylord.
