Kathleen "Kathy" Anne Ott's Obituary
Kathleen "Kathy" Ott, age 63 of Napoleon Township, left this world to join her parents Mary Ellen and Harold "Kouch" Smith and mother-in-law Sybil Ott on November 13th, 2021. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Dan Ott, daughters Amy (Brad) Hess, Melissa (Kelly) Hull and son Travis (Susan Shaw) Ott. Her favorite people in the world were her grandchildren: Karl, Matheson and Abbie Hess; Grace, Layla and Andrew Hull; Keigon, Hoyt, and Remmy Ott. Also left behind to cherish her memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her "unbiological sister" Margaret (Thomas) Porter. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, camping, and cheering on her grandchildren no matter what they were doing at the time. She spent 44 years working at the Jackson County Intermediate School District working in many different capacities. She had a heart of gold and wore it on her sleeve. At her request cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 am from Arthur-Day Funeral Home with Reverend Terron Erwin from Christ Apostolic Church of Albion officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to Careline Hospice (103 S. Jackson Street, Suite 200, Jackson, MI 49201).
