Kathryn LaMoine Drake (Brenner)'s Obituary
Age 80, of Summit Township, passed away from cancer at the Bethany Hospice Home Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She is survived by two sons, Karl and Calvin Drake, four grand-daughters, Hope Miller, Kathryn (James) Blackburn, Kristin (Justin) Palmer and Tabatha (Robi) Eddy, one grandson, Jeff Drake, eight great-grandchildren, Kirstin and Ryan Stull, Tenley Blackburn, Ian Palmer, Cayden Eddy, Trinity, Serenity and Lilly Drake, brother, George Brenner, brother-in-law, Donald (Ruth) Drake, sisters-in-law, Barbara Rentfrow and Jean Marrion and several 'adopted' great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Drake in 2011, her parents, Jacob and Jean (Fidler) Brenner, brothers, Hap Taynton, Bud Sedgebear, Les Fidler and Pete Brenner and sister, Freda Maher. She was born in Grass Lake and raised on a farm. She loved and enjoyed her flowers, country music, shopping and was a NASCAR fan. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who valued spending time with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A visitation to honor her life will be held at the funeral home Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 2-4 pm. The family would like to thank Great Lakes Caring Hospice and the Bethany Hospice Home for the care they gave during our mother's illness. The family would like any contributions in her memory be directed to the Bethany Hospice Home.
