Kathryn Marjorie Green's Obituary
Age 95, of Leoni Township, passed away October 7, 2016 at Highland Care Home. She is survived by three children, Mary C. Green of Jackson, James A. (Susan) Green of Okemos and Margaret K. (Larry) Rupp-Greene of Colorado, step-daughter, Diana L. Kraus, grandsons, Travis and Simon Rupp-Greene, sister Hannah Bernice Pickens of Colorado, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alden, brother, Walter Hoover and parents, George O. and Margaret M. (maiden-Brion) Hoover. She was born and enjoyed revisiting Prescott, Michigan, loved the fall months for the color and deer season, was of a colorful character, neither swore or drank, but had a quick temper and an ability just as quick to laugh, love and forgive. She wrote hundreds of letters to the Citizen Patriot Voice of the People, volunteered at Foote Hospital and was a recipient of the Susan B. Anthony Award. At her request cremation has taken place. No public services will be held, a private family memorial will be held later in October to celebrate her life.
