Kaye Francis Blakeman's Obituary
Kaye Francis Blakeman, 84, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her home in Brooklyn, MI. Kaye’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
She was born on December 1, 1939, in Jackson, MI, to James and Rose (Coffey) Moore. Kaye married the love of her life, Dale Eugene, on October 27, 1962, in Norvell, MI. She will be remembered as an independent, stubborn woman, who loved her family more than anything. Kaye attended Jackson High School, while also helping raise her siblings. She worked at John Ganton for 28 years as a nurse’s aide. In her spare time, Kaye enjoyed singing, a good cup of coffee, watching old movies, especially those that had Doris Day and Rock Hudson in them, and reading. She enjoyed reading the bible and other spiritual books. Most of all, Kaye loved watching her grandkids. It was her favorite thing to do. She attended New Life Chapel in Jackson, MI. She loved being at home where she could do things her way.
Kay will be missed by her children, Rex (Ginger) Blakeman, Sherie (Bill) Ong and Sherlene Blakeman; siblings, Bev Mitchell, Pauline (Henry) Friend and Chuck Kelly; grandchildren, Rick (Kimby), Josh (Kacie), Justin (Alexis), Cody (Jade), Emily (Brandon), Sidnee (Marcus), Matthew, Elijah and Sarah; great grandchildren, Lorelai, Wyatt, Zavier, Olivia, Autumn, Silas, Forest, Samson and Theordore; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her son, Scott, her grandson, Christopher, her brothers and sisters, Bob Ryan, Shirley McDermott, Dannie Moore, David King, Marylin Balch, Dorris Balch and Floyd King.
