Kenneth Charles Gage's Obituary
Kenneth Charles Gage, age 88, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth’s family and friends will gather Friday, November 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). His funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Pastor Lonny Bumgardner of Spring Arbor Nazarene Church will officiate the service.
Kenneth was born on October 20, 1935, in Jackson, Michigan to Charles and Bessie (Rowen) Gage. He owned and operated Gage Radio and Television Repair with his father in his earlier years of life. Kenneth was proud to be an Army Veteran. After he left the service, he became an electrical engineer for Spartan Electronics. He married the love of his life, Nancy, on November 7, 1975, and spent nearly 48 years together, happily married. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, and giving person. He was very active with his children when they were growing up. Kenneth could fix literally anything. He built 2 houses during his lifetime, one for his family and one for his parents. Kenneth was a huge animal lover, volunteering much of his time for the Cascades Humane Society. Some would say that Kenneth could be opinionated and would always voice his opinions and concerns to the Jackson Citizen Patriot’s Voice of the People. Even when that section was to be cut from the paper, one of Kenneth’s last opinions centered around Pitbulls and how they have gotten a bad reputation. He was involved with the Napoleon Township Planning Commission for 30 years, and for many years served as chairman. Kenneth was very involved in his church and a very giving person. He was known to have given away at least 3 cars to close friends or family members to help them out.
Kenneth will be missed by his beloved Nancy; his daughters, Traci (Tom) Marrongelli and Katie Gage, and a sister, Sharon Crisenberry. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, JaneAnn Lovitt.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Cascades Humane Society. Please leave a message of comfort for Kenneth’s family or sign his guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
