Kenneth Eugene Grimes' Obituary
Age 72, of Pleasant Lake, passed away at his home July 28, 2015 under the loving care of his family and Hospice Advantage. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Suzanne (maiden-Spratt); one son, James K. (Jodi) Grimes; granddaughter, Jade Grimes; three cousins, Candy Sharp, Monte and Aundrea Grimes and his mother-in-law, Arlene Sanford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover L. and Elinore J. (maiden-Bailey) Grimes. Ken served the nation in the US Army Reserve, worked many years at the family business, Acme Glass in Jackson and also at Shatterproof Glass, Harmon Glass, as a sales rep at Howmet Aluminum, and as a realtor with McConkey Real Estate. For ten years he and his wife enjoyed their life on a houseboat in Florida. He was a classic car enthusiast and former member of the Jackson Jaycees and the Jackson, MI and Orlando, FLA Rotary Club. Mr. Grimes has been cremated and the family will hold private services. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Hospice Advantage (801 S Waverly Road, Suite 200, Lansing MI 48917) or the Highland Alzheimer's Home (1948 Cooper Road, Jackson, MI 49202).
