Kenneth LeRoy Hogoboom's Obituary
Hogoboom, Kenneth L., age 79, of Summit Twp., passed away January 16, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean, three children, Terri (Tab) Weber, Sarah Hogoboom and Kris Nelson, four granddaughters, Chelsea Zantop, Kelly (Nate Willaert) Zantop, Lindsay Lavan and Jessica Fuller, two great-grandchildren, Rylie and Golden Willaert, one sister, Barbara (Lloyd 'Bud') Niles and one brother, George (Shirley) Hogoboom, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Harriett Hogoboom. Ken graduated from Michigan Center High School, served in the Michigan Army National Guard, retired from Gilbert-Commonwealth and worked ten years for Flagstar Bank. He enjoyed his family, fishing and camping and was a member of the Michigan Center Three Horse Club. Mr. Hogoboom has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home Monday, January 20, 2013 at 3 pm with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time.Contributions in his memory are directed to the Michigan Center Alumni Scholarship Fund.
