Kenneth Eugene Jonas' Obituary
Age 71, of Vandercook Lake, passed away June 24,2020 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Laura MacDougal, two daughters; Kerri (Betsy Muenk) Jonas and Larken Jonas, grandchildren; Annora Jonas and Owen Jonas-Muenk, sister; Cheryl (Steve) Acquilla, brothers; Steve (Sharon) Jonas and Fredd (Kitty) Jonas, nieces, nephews and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Eugene F. and Marilyn A. (maiden-Gamble) Jonas and his brother; Denny Jonas. He served the Nation in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War, was working at the US Postal Service with over 30 years of service. He loved animals, model railroading and music by the Beatles and Beethoven. He read many books on war and military history. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, June 27, 2020 from 2-4 pm with Military Honors by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team at 3:50 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
