Kenneth "Kenny" Jay Soule's Obituary
Age 94, of Michigan Center, passed away September 25, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He is survived by four children, Roberta Showerman, Joyce Soule, Ricky Soule and Kim (Mark) Cole; eight grandchildren, Sandy (Jeff) McDaniels, Steve Hammond, Phil (Kristin) Turner, Kevin (Nichole) Turner, Pat Friese, Angi (James) Smead, Chad (Kathie) Cole and Ginean Cole; many great and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Joan Cox; several nieces and nephews. Ken lost his beloved wife, Verna Pauline (maiden-Stringham) Soule in 2007 after 59 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Guila Tate, Guy Soule, Norma Wyatt, Shirley Tittle, Gloria Olszewski and Linda Soule and his parents, Ray Jay And Hazelle M. (maiden-Foster) Soule. Ken served the nation in the US Army Reserves for 30 years, retiring as a Master Sgt., he retired from Goodyear after 40 years in the tire building department. He was a volunteer tax consultant at the Crouch Center in Jackson for many years and also volunteered at the Ella Sharp Park Golf Course. His favorite pastime was golf. Services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday , September 30, 2020 at 11 am with Pastor Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the current COVID restrictions will be held Tuesday evening 6-8 pm. Cemetery Military Honors will be offered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Jackson County Animal Shelter or the Cascades Humane Society.
