Kenneth Ottosen's Obituary
OTTOSEN, KENNETH and BEVERLY Beverly, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, and Kenneth, age 92, passed away 10 days later, on Friday, February 20, 2015. Ken was born in September 1922 to Emil (""Mike"") and Dorothy Ottosen. Bev was born in July 1924 to Robert and Lenah Dryer. They were lifelong companions who grew up as next door neighbors and were married for 67 years. Both died peacefully under the loving care of their family, Hospice Advantage, and the staff at the Vista Grande Villa Health Center. Ken was a devoted father and grandfather and retired from a career in electrical engineering with Consumers Power. He was a skilled DIYer who, with the help of his wife and parents, built a home on Franklin Street where he and Bev raised their family and lived for more than 30 years. Bev was a loving mother and grandmother and worked many years in various secretarial and administrative positions. She enjoyed singing in church choirs, Sweet Adelines, and the chorus at Vista Grande Villa. Both were long time members of Arbor Grove Congregational Church. They are survived by a son, Robert (Susan) Ottosen of Grosse Pointe Park, MI; daughters, Linda (Sherwood) Cherry of Colorado Springs, CO and Sharon (Dave) Milekich of Muskegon, MI; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service to celebrate their lives will be held at Arbor Grove Congregational Church on Sunday, May 24th at 3:00 pm with Pastor John Doud officiating.
