Kenneth Clayton Ross' Obituary
Age 78, of Rives Township, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Health on April 2, 2017. He is survived by three children, Laurinda (Michael) Penner, Lynette (Bret) Morey and Kenneth (Mindy) Ross; grandchildren, Nikki Spencer, Sam Spencer, Brandon (Rachel Hitow) Shaw, Josh Perry, Stephanie Perry, Nicole (Erik) Ragan and Jared Penner; great-grandchildren, Kacie and Brodie Gallardo, Ryley and MaLynda Meyers, Noa Sanford; sister, Carleen Dowding. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary and his parents, Clayton and Phyllis (Brown) Ross. Ken had worked as a machinist and locksmith at General Motors, Goodyear Tire and Rubber and the State Department of Corrections. He had served in the Michigan National Guard, was a member of the National Rifle Association, was a master mechanic and enjoyed auto racing, classic cars, country music and guns. Mr. Ross has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Steve Brown officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time. He and his late wife will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery, Leslie, Michigan at a later date. Contributions in his memory are directed to the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
