Kenneth Harold Skiver Sr's Obituary
Kenneth Harold Skiver, Sr., 89, of Brooklyn passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 5, 2025 with his loving family by his side at Lenawee Hospice, Adrian. Ken’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 am following visitation from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Pastor Bruce Jewett of Jasper Bible Church, will officiate. Interment is Friday, February 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at West Mound Cemetery in Taylor, Michigan.
He was born on November 21, 1935, in Wyandotte, Michigan to Fred and Hilda (Stubbe) Skiver. Ken married the love of his life, Margaret Peyton on December 8, 1956 in Taylor, Michigan. They had 68 wonderful years together. He will be remembered as a super nice guy, who was kind and caring. Ken was a skilled craftsman and a great role model, teaching the grandchildren the trade. He would say “It can’t be close enough; it has to be perfect”. He loved Wampler’s Lake, were he found solace, and drove his” Donzi”. Ken and his partner, the late, Johnny Kenosion built the Par 3 Golf Course in Brownstown, and later his son Kenny joined the partners. He was a member of the Hot Boat’s Club. Ken never met a stranger; and he had a gift to gab. He always had a hard time saying “Goodbye”. Ken will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ken is survived by his adoring wife, Marge; his children, Kenneth Skiver, Jr and Kim (Denny) Still; grandchildren Kenny (Sonni) Skiver, James (Tracy) Tyson, Jeni (Jeff) Poniatowki, Travis (Morgan) Tyson, Mark (Melissa) Still and Nick Still; great grandchildren, Kenson, Hank, Buck, Reylyn, Hayvin, Zandyr, Jersey, Harley, Aeryn, Maeve and Tanner; many nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Tom (Shirley) Peyton and sister-in-law, Pat Skiver. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hilda; a daughter, Terri Tyson; sisters, Shirley Dobbins, Karen McClearen and a brother, Tom Skiver, and a granddaughter, Angela.
