Kevin Wayne Bennett's Obituary
Kevin Wayne Bennett, 60, of Brooklyn, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Promedica Charles Virginia Hickman Hospital, Adrian. Kevin’s family and friends will gather Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Jeff Sheeks will officiate.
He was born on April 24, 1962, in Wayne, Michigan to Donald “Wayne” and Vernell (Smith) Bennett. He will be remembered for having a heart of gold, he would give you the shirt off his back if needed. Kevin is a Wayne Memorial High School Graduate, Class of 1980. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. being stationed in London, England. Kevin loved the outdoors, sports, especially hockey and the Detroit Red Wings. He collected many stray pets, giving them all a loving home. Kevin was a terrific brother, father and son. He cherished his family above all. He never let his disability change his generous upbeat personality. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kevin is survived by his children, Yvonne Bennett and Leanne (Robert) Beal; his mother, Vernell; siblings, Jeff (Denise) Bennett and Tracy (Greg) Whitworth; grandchildren, Madison, Ceden, Robert Jr., Xander, Jolene and Deacon; aunt, Mary Strausborger; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Ariana, Cortney, Jacob, Caleb and Samuel. He is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Bennett.
