Kristin Joy Midena-Rose's Obituary
Kristin Joy Midena-Rose, 58, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away October 25, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson. Kristin’s family and friends will gather on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00PM- 6:00PM and Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10:00AM- 11:00AM at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00AM. Chaplain Bart Hall from Henry Ford Hospice will officiate.
Kristin was born on October 27, 1964, in Dearborn, Michigan to James and Geraldine (Bonkowski) Schlegel. She was married to Steven Rose, on June 14, 1997, in Napoleon, Michigan. Kristin graduated from Columbia Central high school in 1982 and went on to study hospitality in college. She had a passion for cooking and loved to serve people. Kristin owned Napoleon Café for almost 30 years. She enjoyed football and was a Detroit Lions fan, as well as watching game shows and Survivor. She spent weekends in Saugatuck and cherished time on the boat. Some other hobbies of her’s were skiing and golfing. Kristin will be remembered as a mother who would do anything for her 3 boys.
Kristin will be missed by her husband, Steven; her children, Thomas Midena, Daniel Midena, Joseph (Alicia Miller) Midena, Kevin Rose, Michael (Beth) Rose, and Kris (Gary) Paul; siblings, James (Gina) Schlegel, and Kirk (Michelle) Schlegel; grandchildren Leonardo Midena, Aidan Midena, Katie and Ryan Paul, Arabella Rose, Lucia Rose, and Vincent Rose; nephew, Alex Schlegel and nieces, Taylor Schlegel, Paige Schlegel, and Jamie Schlegel. She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Calvin and Gerladine Craft, her father, James Schlegel, and her brother Scott Schlegel.
