Laverne Burt Mannor's Obituary
Age 90, of Michigan Center, passed away at his daughter's Leoni Township home Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Martin and Sue (Gerald) Furlong, his first grandson, Kenny Roberts, 13 other grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, brother Theodore (Janice) Mannor, sisters, Theola (Les) Curey and Janet Wright, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Janice, son Michael, grandson Terry Roberts, great-grandchildren, Gerald Cleunion and Ashley Roberts. LaVerne served the nation in the European Theater of Operations, US Army, World War II, retired from Acme Industries, loved to fish and was an avid outdoorsman. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Larry Rubingh officiating. Interment Kinch Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening, 6-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the American Cancer Society. Military Honors will be given by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
