LaVerne Erwin Cunliffe's Obituary
Cunliffe, LaVerne Erwin Age 100, of Summit Township, passed away at Allegiance Health June 10, 2013. He is survived by two children, Ronald Cunliffe and Sandy Forward; six grandchildren, Rick (Sue) Cunliffe, Randy (Lorna) Cunliffe, Ronnie (Marcia) Cunliffe, Steve (Lora) Bigcraft, Sheri (Michael) Ashe and Shanna (Tod) Farmer; sixteen great-grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Sean, Shelby, Chelsea, Shane, Cara, Cailey, Ciara, Jared, Ciressa, Addam, Heath, Austin, Kherington and Delaney; thirteen great-great grandchildren, Acacia, Jacob, Emily, Zack, Zayn, Zethyn, Shaylen, Aylah, Ellary, Cash, Janae, Christy and Mallory; one brother, Bill Watson and one sister, Marnie Smith; special friend, Helen Parrott; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor. He was an avid, lifelong golfer, winning the Arbor Hills Country Club Championship in 1954, during his working years owned/operated Cunliffe Sunoco Service and Cunliffe West Point Service until 1956, then was a Jackson Area Real Estate Broker until his retirement. He enjoyed visiting casinos with his son and recently celebrated his 100th birthday where he danced the night away. Private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery. There will be no public services. The family wishes to thank Dr. Channing Smith and staff, Dr. Mark Zande and staff and the nurses and caregivers at Allegiance Health Ward 6 South East for their outstanding care and compassion.
