Lavonne Lynn Dake's Obituary
Dake, (Eckler), Lavonne Lynn ""Vonnie"" Of Michigan Center, passed away at the age of 58 in her home on April 13, 2013 due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband, Gary L. Dake; her father, Robert L. Eckler and her brother, Allen Eckler. She is survived by her children, Stephanie (Robert) Dingee of Michigan Center and Kyle Dake of Jackson; her mother, Bernice (Erv Hinton) Eckler and brother, Dave Eckler. She was a loving and compassionate grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Jessica, Tammy (Kirk) Mandrelle, Alexis, Austin, Taylor, Alex, Joey, Peyton, Bernadette, Livia and Sawyer. She was a Michigan Center High School Graduate Class of 1973; married her high school sweetheart July 14, 1973. She lived and loved life to the fullest. She never complained about the limitations she was dealt. Her smile could stop a room in motion. She looked forward to Detroit Tigers games and NASCAR racing. She participated in the MS Walk of 2012 ""Vonnies Angels"". It was the simple things of life she enjoyed most such as the sounds of the cranes flying over the lake in the morning, feeding the ducks, the first snow fall and the beauty of peacocks. She always took the time to listen when others wouldn't. She was the true example of beautiful heart. Her legacy will live on in all that knew her. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Byron Maynard officiating. Visitation will start at 11 am until service time. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
