Lawanna Ruth Simpkins' Obituary
Age 75, of Michigan Center, passed away November 11, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; William R. Simpkins Sr., two children; Dawn (Jeff) Simpkins and Billy (Tracy) Simpkins Jr., four grandchildren; Nathan (Lyanne) Russler, Nickolas (Lauren) Russler, Natasha (Brad) Simpkins and Benjamin Simpkins, great-grandchildren; Justis, Honor, Bode, Adylinh, Raelynn and Saylor, four brothers; Denny (Lynda), Cris (Peggy), Dee and Gary (MaryLynn) Broughman. She was preceded in death by her grandson; Anthony Simpkins and her parents; Ernest D. and Ruth D. (maiden-Sifers) Broughman. Lawanna spent her career as a beautician, working at several salons and retiring from the JC Penny Beauty Salon and The Second Look. She was a dedicated wife, mom and grandmother that never missed any of her children and grandchildren's events, usually taking lots of pictures. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at noon with Rev. Darlene Smith officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
