Lawrence "Larry" Gilbert Merrill's Obituary
Lawrence Gilbert Merrill, Age 78, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Larry was born in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Max W. and Virginia M. (Callan) Merrill. He was the graduate of Jackson High School and retired after a long career as a truck driver from Alro Steel.
Larry is survived by his son, Chris (Kim) Merrill; his dear companion since 2010 (and the first girl he ever kissed!!), Sandra Fyffe; her children and their families, Jeff and Mindy Smith, Robert and Melissa Stone, and his sister, Mary Ebanks. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sandy Merrill in 2006, and his brother-in-law Austin Ebanks.
Larry was a member of the Teamsters Union, National Rifle Association, Grass Lake Sportsman’s Club and the Jackson County Outdoor Club. He very much enjoyed trap shooting at the clubs.
Cremation has taken place. Larry’s family and friends will gather Friday April, 14 from 5pm to 7 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Michigan Center Chapel (formally Arthur-Day Funeral Home).
