Leland Charles Spangler's Obituary
Leland Charles Spangler, born September 16, 1931, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025. Leland’s family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Clarklake, Michigan. The funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita’s. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal will serve as celebrant.
On August 23, 1958, Leland was wed to Alice Veronica Shroeder. Surviving are their children: Leland Joseph Spangler (Denise), Tracey Natke (Paul), Shannon Frantz, and Celene Jackson (Christopher), eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Roge. Leland was preceded in death by his wife Alice; parents, Leland and Helen; sister, Joyce Young; and son-in-law, Carl Frantz. Leland devoted his work life to encouraging college students to reach their full potential. He was a loving husband and father who lived his life according to his strong Roman Catholic faith.
