Lenus Carlene Phillips' Obituary
Lenus Carlene Phillips, 80, of Brooklyn passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
She was born on October 15, 1943 in Tallahassee, Florida to James and Audrey (Johnson) Newell. She will be remembered as a very caring person that went above and beyond. Lenus was a graduate of Ypsilanti High School. She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of the North Prospect Baptist Church. Lenus loved her family and friends dearly, Amish culture books and Tigers Baseball. She had a terrific sense of humor and a strong will. Lenus will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lenus is survived by her sisters, Nancy (Ron) Vanlandingham and Elizabeth (Lynn) Potter; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Audrey; a sister, Gail Allen; and a nephew, Randall Vanlandingham.
