Leona J. Church's Obituary
Of Jackson, formerly of Worthington, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022 while at her home while under the care of her son Duane and the staff at Henry Ford Home Hospice. She was born the daughter of Sterling and Minnie Galford on July 1, 1926. She was the beloved wife of Edward Church who preceded her in death; she was also preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Galford.
Leona was the devoted mother of two sons; Duane of Jackson and Ronald (Darielle) of Albany, Oregon. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and very special friend, Sylvia Morris. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church and retired from Mechanical Products.
As was her request, private interment has taken place at Roseland Memorial Gardens and no services will be held. For those who wish, contributions in Leona's memory to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
