Leslie "Bud" Harry Iley's Obituary
Leslie “Bud” Harry Iley, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
He was born on June 17, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Leslie and Pauline (Beadles) Iley. He will always be remembered as a very generous and loving man. He would always be there for anyone to lend a helping hand. Bud served in the army. Bud worked 25 years as a body man at a dealership in Ann Arbor. His peers looked up to him for his body work giving him the nickname “Bondo Bud”. Then he worked 25 years at a gravel company as well.
He was able to do any DYI project around the house. He sacrificed a lot and worked tirelessly to make sure his family was taken care of. Bud enjoyed lake fishing, boating and golf. He loved to travel. He and his wife enjoyed several trips to St. Clair to admire the ships on the water. Most of all he loved nothing more than to have fun and spend time with his family. Words can’t describe how good of a man he was.
Bud will be dearly missed by his wife Janet; his children, Dawn Iley, Del (Grace) Sanders, Richard Iley, and Chrissy (Andy) Koon; his sister Sharon (Judd) Small, Brother-in-law Robert Aldrich and special friend Tom Vella. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Pauline Iley.
