Lillian ""Loka"" Braun's Obituary
Braun, (Zyckowski) Lillian 'Loka' Age 84, Went peacefully to the Lord August 15, 2014 in the comfort of her own home after a courageous battle with cancer. Loka was born April 18, 1930 in Jackson, MI to parents, Frank and Pauline Zyckowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Braun, her siblings, Mary (Fred) Allman, Frank (Babe) Zyckowski, Tony Zyckowski, Lottie (Carl) Sanborn, Jessie Zyckowski, Hattie (Ken) Oexler and Joan (Charlie) Miller. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Ralph) Braun-Hansel, three grandchildren, Shane Braun, Ryan (Megan) Hansel and Brenna (Travis) Miller, three great-grandchildren, sisters Pauline Dullock, Stella Kutyna, Dorothy Zuchowski and many nieces and nephews. She cherished her family and friends and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, snowmobiling and traveling with family, husband and friends. Throughout their lives they enjoyed the companionship of the various dogs that came into their lives. Loka worked at Eaton (Aeroquip) for 43 years retiring in 1993. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 11 am with Father Tim McDonald officiating. Interment Leoni Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 5-8pm and at the church one hour prior to services. Recitation of the Rosary Monday evening 7:30 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to Our Lady of Fatima. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Allegiance Hospice for their help during this difficult time.
