Linda Fay Magner's Obituary
Linda Fay Magner, 84, passed away in her sleep on September 15, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1941, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to C. Edward Bales Jr. and Ruby (Wolf) Bales.
Linda graduated from Carter High School at the top of her class. It was after high school that she married her first husband, Albert Sherrod. They had two children, Kyle Sherrod (now 64) and Terri Moser-Sherrod (now 61).
After moving to Georgia in the early 1970s, Linda began her career in banking. In 1985, she married Ronald Magner, and they enjoyed 41 years together before her death. Linda is
remembered as a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ronald; her children, Kyle (Deborah) Sherrod, Terri (Andrew) Moser-Sherrod, Mark (Heidi) Magner, and Angie Leupp; her sister, Helen (Jack) Byrd; and her nine grand- children and 11 great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward (Greta) Bales and Ruby (Freddie) Brooks, and by her brother, Jim Bales.
