Linda Marie Walter's Obituary
Linda Marie Walter, 67, formerly of Manitou Beach, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Canterbury-on-the-Lake, Waterford Twp, Michigan. Linda’s family and friends held a private gathering at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, Brooklyn, Michigan. Her ashes will be buried next to her husband, in Riverside Cemetery, Clinton, Michigan.
She was born on September 22, 1954, in Addison, Michigan to Robert and Mary (Snedecker) Kellk. Linda married Homer Walter, Jr. on July 17, 1987, in Somerset, Michigan. She will be remembered as being a very giving, caring person that loved her family above all else. Linda owned and operated her own hair salon out of her basement, she also made wedding and birthday cakes in her spare time. Linda loved to travel – attending her late husband’s bowling tournaments, the annual trips to Florida, and Ohio for the Threshers Convention, and camping at Sunny’s in Wauseon, Ohio. She took many motorcycle trips with her husband and friends. Linda was the life of the party wherever she went, always having a smile on her face. Everyone was welcome in her home, including farm animals, always taking in stray animals and people. She was a true farm girl at heart. Linda was a good mother, grandmother, friend and a good person in general. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her children, Danielle (Reuben) Bynum, Aaron (Sara) Christensen and Melissa (Chris) Chesney and Brenda (Jameson) Lawrence.; grandchildren Caleb Bynum, Savannah, Aaron, Ezra, Ezekiel, Henry and Rivka Christensen, Caleb, Bryce, Keegan and Gavin Chesney, Weston Wilson, and Adrianna Laharrague, Chad and Bryant Bowersox; two great grandchildren, Kailey, Kylin; stepmother Bonita Huffman – Kellk; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Homer Walter Jr. , a daughter Kyle Walter, and brother Chuck Kellk.
