Linton E. "Wally" Tropp's Obituary
Age 70, of Michigan Center, passed away at his home October 25, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra Lee Tropp, two children, Greg (Mary) Tropp and Charity Tropp, grandson, Will Hodges and brother Keith Tropp. He was preceded in death by his brother Justin, sister Delight and parents, Linton C. and Donna J. (Baird) Tropp. Wally retired as the Executive Director of the Jackson Drop-In Center, worked at the MSU Football Games, had been a supervisor at Goodwill Services and had drove a school bus. He had served the Center Community in many capacities, including being President of the Center PTA and Band Boosters. He had achieved ordination in an on-line Pastoral Program and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great joy and pride in his family and their activities. Mr. Tropp has been cremated. A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held at St. Aidan's Church, 361 East Grove, Michigan Center Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Patricia A Kenney, St. Johns United Church of Christ, officiating. The family will receive friends at St. Aidan's Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in his honor are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
