Lois Jean Baier's Obituary
Lois Jean Baier, 92, of Brooklyn passed away Tuesday August 1, 2023 at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. Her ashes will be interred at a later date next to her late husband at Parkview Memorial Park.
She was born on April 14, 1931, in Dearborn, Michigan to Paul and Margaret (Taylor) Steele. Lois married the love of her life, Kenneth Baier, on November 7, 1951, in Redford, Michigan. She will be remembered as a meticulous cleaner and an avid reader, especially books about the Amish culture. Lois was active in the Clark Lake Community Church, and she was a part of the Keenager group of Brooklyn for many years. She had a wry sense of humor, and she was a very good cook; family will fondly remember her meatloaf. Lois was a wonderful grandmother, and family was very important to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lois is survived by her children, Ken (Debbie) Baier; Doug (Ann Simandl) Baier; and Patti (John) Casari; sister-in-law, Betty Steele; grandchildren, Christi; Corey, Becky; Francis; and Tom; great grandchildren, Jacob; Jessica; Leah; Colin; and Tyler; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; and her brother, Paul Steele.
