Loretta E. Widmayer's Obituary
Loretta E. Widmayer, 91, of Manchester, passed away peacefully under the loving care of her family and Elara Caring Hospice on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Loretta’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 210 W. Main St. Manchester. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at 11:00. Fr. Bosco Padamattummal will serve as celebrant.
She was born on February 22, 1931, in Jackson, Michigan to Andrew and Veronica (Pawloski) Truszkowski. Loretta loved to bowl, play cards and knit. She had donated thousands of baby hats and blankets to Mott’s Children’s Hospital of Ann Arbor.
Loretta will be missed by her four daughters, Ann (Dan) Hassett, Jean (Marc) Boote, Sharon (Gene) Kemeter and Carol Widmayer-Flint; six grandchildren, Emily (Brad) Humphrey, Lindsey Hassett, Alyssa (Thomas) McCreight, Kayla (Dominic) Dixon, Brian (Cecilia) Kemeter and Mia Flint; five great grandchildren Elliot and Jordan Humphrey, Abigail McCreight, Luke and Paislei Dixon; son-in-law Timothy Flint; and twin brother Edwin Truszowski of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, of 49 years in 2009, parents, and brother Alfred Truszkowski.
