Lorraine Marie Ambs' Obituary
Lorraine Marie Ambs went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2022. Lorraine was a lifelong resident of Jackson, Michigan and passed away peacefully at the Hospice Home. She was 86 years old. Lorraine was born on January 7, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents Laurel I. and Lela Brown, her husband Henry H. Ambs, Jr., her brother and sister-in-law Ralph E. and Dorothy Brown and brother-in-law Walter Clark.
Lorraine's joy were her children. She enjoyed spending most of her time raising and being with her boys. Lorraine was a resident of Maple Ridge Apartments where she enjoyed the company of her friends. She cherished her most dear friends Marilyn Oaks of Lake Odessa and Mary Tarrant of Jackson. Lorraine loved to travel and go camping. She and her husband were past members of the Michigan Travel Trailer Club. Lorraine loved owls and her hobbies included collecting owl figurines, lighthouses and doing puzzles. Lorraine had a great sense of humor and was very tolerant of the ongoing shenanigans of her boys.
Lorraine is survived by her sister Betty Clark; her children, Brad (Sharon) Holwerda, Michael (Kim) Jermeay, Steven (Ramon Flores) Jermeay, Kevin (Deborah) Ambs and Christopher (Teresa) Ambs. Five grandchildren Caleb, Ethan, Kryn, Aindrea, and Andrew; Two great-grandchildren Evalize and Liam; Three nieces and one nephew.
The family will plan a memorial service in the spring for both Lorraine and her late husband Henry with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Donations in honor of the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
