Louise F. Lines' Obituary
LINES, LOUISE F. Age 100, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Allegiance Hospice Home. Louise was born January 25, 1913 in Norvell Township to Harry and Blanch (Gardner) Austin. She attended Jackson High School and on November 11, 1932 she married Kenneth W. Lines and they moved to a farm near Parma. They later moved to Brooklyn and lived there until her retirement from Ford Motor Company. Mesa, AZ was then their home until returning to the Brooklyn Living Center in 1995. After Kenneth passed away, Louise was cared for by her family in Sterling Heights and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Richard) Bristow; infant daughter, Judith; brother, Harry Gardner Austin; sisters, Mary Jane Choate and Carlene (Dale) Reese; and son-in-laws, Ray Alber and Barry Whitelock. Louise is survived by her daughter, Sally (Ed) Krause of Indiana; four grandchildren, Marquetta (Bob) Williams of Oklahoma, Carolyn (Bob) Garbarino of Sterling Heights, Martha Kahila of Jackson and David (Chris) Bristow of Michigan Center; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandson; sisters, Gwenyth Beckman and Dorothy (Bob) Bertke; brother-in-law, Neal Choate; many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was a Life Member of the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Louise's life will be held at the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Christine Barnes officiating. Louise's family will be receiving visitors from 10:00 am until service time. Louise loved trees and it was her hope that friends and family would plant a tree in her memory. For those who wish, contributions in her memory may be given to her church.
