Margaret "Midge" Mary Lashley's Obituary
Age 76 of Jackson, Michigan, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Health on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
Midge was born in Jackson, Michigan on August 21, 1940 and lived there for most of her life. She graduated from St John's High School with the Class of 1958. She married the love of her life, David E. Lashley, on January 3, 1959 in Jackson. They moved to Carlisle, PA where Dave was stationed in the US Army, then returned to Jackson where they raised their family. Upon Dave's retirement, the couple moved to Grayling, MI to fulfill a life-long dream of living Up-North. After Dave's passing, Midge moved back to Jackson. She enjoyed reading, BINGO, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy in her life was seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being a part of their lives.
Midge is survived by her children: Shelly & Bob Duncan of Jackson, MI; Scott & Patty Lashley of Mio, MI; and Kevin & Angie Lashley of Jackson, MI; her grandchildren: Jason & Lacey Duncan, Brooke Oliver (Prince Barlow), Kody Lashley, Andrew & Thomye Lashley, Nick Lashley, and Charlie Lashley; her step-grandchildren: Andrew & Alyssa Marriott, Izzy Marriott, Kaydee Skinner, and Kaylee Skinner; and 6 great-grandchildren: Isaac, Zylius, Carmen, Sophie, Azoa, and Emily. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law: Dick (Janet) Lashley and Dennis (Rhetta) Lashley; her sisters-in-law: Cindy (John) Spurlock, Ruth Lashley, and Donna Lashley; and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents: Tom & Mary (Bednark) Berry; her husband Dave in 2004; her brother-in-law Ron Lashley; her infant sister-in-law Vicki; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Tim MacDonald as Celebrant. Private Interment at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Jackson, Michigan.
