She was born on November 24, 1922, in Dowagiac, MI, to Glenn and Gaile (Aldrich) Morford. Margaret married the love of her life, Bruce Mills, in 1940. She will be remembered as a strong woman who was devoted to her family. Margaret spent her life as a farmer’s wife, where she dedicated her time to helping on the farm and raising her 3 children. She was also devoted to her community where she volunteered at the local hospice, the Red Cross at blood drives, at local elections and at her church, Central Wesleyan. Margaret loved dressing nicely and always being dressed to impress. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking, especially pies, the best pies around! Margaret was also a member of the Lioness Club. She was a tough woman who, even at 100 years old, after breaking her neck, wanted to get up and move around. Margaret always got up and brushed herself off, no matter what came her way.
Margaret will be missed by her grandchildren, Denise (Brent) Griffin, Susie (Kurt) Bailey, Angela (Gary) Gierke, Sherry (Kareen Hernandez) Mills, Penny (Patrick) Dombrowski, Bill (Mary) Mills, Peggy (Brian) Griffin, and Missy (Brad) Best, many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Bruce Mills, her 2 sisters; Georgianna and Mertle, her brother; Adrian, her 3 children; Bruce Daniels, Willam Frank, and Margaret Gail, and 2 grandchildren; Bryan Manke and Karen Curtis.
