Marie Catherine Lyons' Obituary
Marie Catherine Lyons, 83, of Onsted, passed away December 2, 2023 with loved ones at her side. Marie’s family and friends will gather Monday, December 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel, 137 S. Main St., Brooklyn, MI. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Maple Shade Cemetery in Onsted.
Marie was born on April 11, 1940, in Wyandotte, Michigan to James and Lillian (Campau) Ruthven. She worked for many years in the Cadillac Division assembly plant in Detroit. She married Harold Lyons in 1996. She will be remembered as a woman who loved to laugh, dance, and tell jokes. She also enjoyed shopping and decorating, especially for Christmas. She appreciated cars and loved going for long rides. Marie was often seen at the family business, Harold’s Place, whether it be rolling silverware, visiting with guests, or lunching with her friends. She was a proud member of the American Legion Post 550 in Onsted and the Red Hat Society. Her most treasured hours were those she spent with friends, family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie will be missed by her husband, Harold; her children, Tracy (Jim) Loucks of Woodhaven, MI, Tammy Caruso of Woodhaven, MI, Tanya (Rick) DuBay of Brooklyn, MI, Craig (Linda) Lyons, Todd Lyons; grandchildren Kyle (Alayna) Loucks, Jason Wright, Paige Wright, Lauren Wright, Jennie (Erik) Henry, Shawn Lyons; great grandchildren, John Loucks, Kaleb Armstead, Jason Wright II, Trecyn Lyons, Maddie-Rae (Blake) Maness, Alissa, Sophie, Lee Edward Henry and great great grandson, Clayton Maness. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and a sister.
