Clark Lake, Michigan
Age 95, of Liberty Township, formally of Michigan Center, Michigan, went to be with the Lord June 12, 2026, surrounded by her family and under the medical supervision of Gentiva Hospice. Marie was born in Petersville, Kentucky on February 12, 1931 to the late Denny L. and Helen G. (Bradley) Esham. She is survived by two children, Pamela (Jim) Meinka and Gary Marlett; grandsons, Jordan (Chelsea) Lusk and Dan (Brandi) Meinka; granddaughters, Haley Lusk and Robin (Cody) Thorne; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years Paul Marlett (2003); her sister, Margie Gillette (and husband Marvin); her brothers, Ray Esham (and wife, Virginia) and David Esham (and wife, Sue).
Marie grew up in the Jackson area, attended Jackson High School and retired from the Food Service Department of Michigan Center Community Schools. In her active years, Marie enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, camping, scuba diving and reading. But her true joy was spending time with children and grandchildren. She attended Harmony Baptist Church for many years, but more recently attended Grace Church.
Services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes ~ Michigan Center Chapel, 820 5th St. Michigan Center, Michigan, with Pastor James Walling officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
