Marilyn Jean Carroll's Obituary
Age 85, of Blackman Township, passed away peacefully at her home under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice December 1, 2017. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Carroll and Jan Butler, grandchildren, Jenny and Cody (Brandey) Butler, Jason and Stacey Carroll and Alana Brooks, brother Phil Atzenhoffer, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, son David, parents, Edwin and Elva (Mechling) Atzenhoffer, brother Edwin Atzenhoffer and sister Virginia Rudolph. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed flower gardening. Most of her life she lived in Michigan Center where she had a host of friends. She worked as a Playground Supervisor at Keicher School (Michigan Center District) for many years and was a dedicated longtime member of the Jackson Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her dedication will be held at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2 pm with Brother Claude Spencer officiating. She will be laid to rest next to Virgil. Contributions in her memory are directed to her daughter Vicki to help defray her final expenses.
