Marilyn E. "Dolly" Yager's Obituary
Age 90, of Summit Township, passed away at her home Sunday, June 24, 2018 under the loving care of her family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by five children, Linda (Ernie) Whiting, Sandra Patterson, Rex (Jennifer) Yager Jr., Betsy (Bryan) Salyer and Mark Yager, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren , 8 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Bully. She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Yager Sr. in 2005, son Calvin Yager in 2017, four sisters, 5 brothers and her parents, James H. and Ella A. (Wahl) Hinton. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a wonderful cook, enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and Harness Racing. She was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday June 28, 2018 at 11 am with Pastor Tom Burgett officiating. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Dolly's loved ones wish to thank Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice and four special nieces, Terry Robinson, Denise Wilder, Helen Wright and Debi Hinckley for their compassionate care in our mother's final days.
