Marilyn Virginia Kinser's Obituary
Marilyn Virginia Kinser, 92, of Michigan Center, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 after a lengthy illness at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson. Marilyn’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Einder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel (Formerly Arthur-Day Funeral Home). Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Chaplin Jason Jackson will officiate. Interment of ashes will be at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on July 31, 1931, in Jackson, Michigan to Leland and Vera (Walz) Gillette. Marilyn is a Michigan Center High School graduate, and she received her BA from Spring Arbor in Human Resources. She retired after 30 plus years from Eaton Corporation, formerly Aeroquip. Marilyn loved to square dance and travel to different locations to dance around the area. She adored her grandchildren and attended every sporting event she could. Marilyn loved to travel abroad, visiting Germany, France, Hong Kong and the Philippines. She also enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with her beloved friend, Duane. Marilyn was a very determined person and education was very important to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Larry Kinser and Cheryl (Gary) Ellison; her grandchildren Kris Kinser and Kelli (Matt) Seaquist; great grandchildren Lathon Rhodes, Ellison and Kinsley Seaquist; along with 2 special cousins, Hazel and Margie. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Gillette; a granddaughter, Karin Rhodes and beloved friend, Duane Easter.
