Marilyn Jane Matthews' Obituary
Age 78, of Norvell Township, passed away at her home August 12, 2016 under the loving care of her family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William L., four children, Mark (Kim) Matthews, Teri (Dave) Gietek, Scott (Rose) Matthews and Todd (Jeannie) Matthews, thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Mary (Kibbey) Schmidt and her brother, Milton W. Schmidt. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Mrs. Matthews has been cremated. A Memorial Dinner to honor her life will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 for close friends and family. Contributions in her memory are directed to the American Cancer Society.
